The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson in 1967 called for an initiative in which every Jewish man would fulfill and observe the Mitzvah of Tefillin. Every Jewish man could be uplifted, and protected, spiritually and otherwise,
with the observance and awareness of this defining Biblical commandment.
The Rebbe's emphasis on the transcendent value of Tefillin has been manifest through the worldwide efforts of Chabad Rabbis, affording Jews throughout the world the opportunity to be blessed and enhanced by this Mitzvah a Mitzvah which binds itself -quite literally- on Jewish hands, hearts, and minds to connect with G-d and the Jewish people.
